I'm another year older...

But still just as busy. Last Thursday was my 24th birthday and it went by like anyother day. Last night I was supposed to go out and drink with a couple of my friends from work, but instead we eat supper then ended up comforting one of them because her boyfriend didn't trust her that she wasn't cheating on her. Tonight I'm going out with my brother for food and drinks. I hope that it will be fun.

On the project front I've been rather busy this month. I've made a 3 baby blankets and a project that I will not list on here because it is a Christmas present for some one that I am related to.

Cheers, and Bottoms up

Happy Easter!

While it's 8:30am and what a morning it's been so far. No visit from the "Easter Bunny", but a rather nasty looking accident in our front yard. Some one drove there red truck into my fathers 1999 F350 4x4. The police are upstairs right now taking statments from my parents. I'm trying to think nice thought but all I can think of is, "I hope that f***ing a****** got hurt, and realizes that he most likely destroyed my parents vaction that they had been planning for months."

Doing my happy dance!

I just found out that I was accepted into SAIT (Southern Alberta Insitute of Techonolgy). I'm going to do the Bussiness Admin program. I really really really want to do this. I can't wait. I'm still waiting to hear back from my first choice though, Bow Valley College. Still just so excited. Wanting to jump up in the air and tell the whole world my news.

Today my Grandfather died. He was a good man. That's about all I can manage to say today. Good-bye Grandpa, I love you.

As much as I hate whinning...

I have too. I hate not finding out stuff until the last minute. This morning I was ready to go and help my Dad and step-mom with the morning service at the hospital, I went to go and see if they were ready to go at 9:50, but they were asleep again. I was then informed that they felt too tired to go. Not that I particularly wanted to go and help at the service ( I don't have good associations with any hospital), but I was ready to go. I'm starting to feel like living at home I'm lossing all my freedom of knowledge.

I totally mean that I don't find most things out until the last moment. If it effects me, I like to know ahead of time so I can make plans. I'm starting to want my old life back that I had in Red Deer, my sh**y apartment, my ex, my old going no where job. At least I knew what was going on.

I guess you could say today that generally I'm pissed off. If it wasn't for that fact that I won't drink when I feel this way, I'd be going for a big one right now. This afternoon I have to tell my parents how I feel. I have to be open and honest with them, just right now (besides the fact they're sleeping), I don't want to.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Why can't I find a hairdresser??

It's not like I'm looking for a heart transplant doctor or anything, I just want a hair cut. Somewhere close to work, that I can get into this Tuesday night. Is that too much to ask. If there are any hairdressers from the South end of Calgary reading this before Tuesday and can fit me in, please email me, ( crocheted_monkey@hotmail.com )

Okay, I had to rant about that.

Anyways back to my more normal type of posts. Works been okay, home life been great, love life I'm just as confused about as normal. On that crocheting front at least my talents will be put to good work sometime in the future.

In the past two weeks I was making a prayer shawl for the prayer ministry at church. Yesterday my step mom took it in for her meeting with the minister. At some point in the future prayer shawls might become part of the "Called to Care" ministry at our church.

That's about it for today.

How not to keep your blog up to date...

Okay so I'm horriable at remembering to do even quick little post on here. Oh well, I'm busy like 90% of the world is. Working, travelling to and from work, eating, and sleeping takes up a lot of my time. The rest of the time I have left lately has been filled with too many personal issue to talk about with the general public. (Sorry to those in the celebrity gossip collumns that take the stories from no celebrity lifes).

Valentines day came and went. I did what a girl does best, went shopping. I bought a great not so little tankini, a sweater, and a whole lot of books. It ended up being a good night out with my Step-mom rather then a missribable night at home by myself.

That adorable cat to the right of the screen was my cat Shota. She's the one that I had to give up for adoption about a month ago since she didn't get along at all with my parents two cats, Tabbi and Callie.

On the crocheting front I must admit that I could be doing a lot more work. The afghan that I was ranting and raving about a couple of months ago is really not that much futher since I keep on running out of yarn. I've started a couple of smaller projects but nothing seems to be keeping my interest so I end up just sitting and watching TV with out my hook going.

That's about it for now.

Sick Day :(

Unfortantly today, I was sick from work.
Granted it could have been a blessing too, I hear from my step-mom that it's snowing pretty bad right now in Calgary.

The picture to the right is of my Grandma and I last May celebrating my birthday. That is a picture of just some of the yarn that I recieved from her.

This afternoon, (after I slept for 12 hours or so), I started working the the Knifty Knitter I got for Christmas from my Step-sister. I wanted to do something that I could put down easily if I had a coughing spell. (Which there were plently of). I'm just making a scarf with some Patons Twister.

That's about it for today, gotta go and make super.

I'm back!

Sorry to all my readers for the extended period of adsence. A lot has happend in my life in the last 6 months. Most importantly, I'm single again!!!!! (Yipe!!!!! Add dancing around the room, I love the single life).

I've moved on from what had been a three year chapter in my life, and done some more soul searching. And litterally I moved as well, Good-bye Central Alberta, Hello Southern Alberta.

As far as crocheting is involved, I sold and made some poncho for a couple of my co-workers from Red Deer. Currently I'm working on one of my favourite winter projects, an afghan. I'm not sure if this one is going to be a gift or a gift to me, but I sure love the colors.

(For those who are wondering who that person is in the picture is, it's me, taken about 2 months ago).

I don't really have much to say beyond that today. Posted by Picasa
